SIGNAGE AND MANIFESTATION | SAFETY MARKS FOR GLASS
It is a legal requirement to make sure that large expanses of glass are clearly noticeable, especially in public areas or corporate buildings. Employers are required by law to take reasonable steps to ensure the safety of staff and public alike.
The Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992 states that "the risk of collision with clear glazing must be avoided by using appropriate markings".
On large glass windows or doors, it is recommended that you stick 2 lines of at least 5cm wide safety marks, 1 at between 80cm and 100cm of the finished floor level, and 1at between 140cm and 160cm of the finished floor level.
Critical locations include unframed glazing, glazing that is more than 40cm wide, glazed doors and windows without mullions, transoms or large handles, or large ares of glazing that would appear to open.

We now offer our safety stickers in a range of styles and colours.
We sell the safety marks either in packs of 20 individual stickers or in 120cm strips.
You can also supply your own designs, like a company logo or initials, which would serve the same purpose. Please contact us with your requirements.
